Discovery Christian Church offers 2 weeks of KidQuest! KidQuest is for Elementary Children, Kindergarten through entering sixth grade. Lil' KidQuest is for Preschoolers, age 3 years through Pre-K. It will be just like the big kids week...only scaled down to meet their needs.
These weeks will be the best weeks of your child's entire summer...no matter how old they are! Like all children's events at Discovery Christian Church, a balance of life application and Bible stories are mixed with a huge dose of FUN! We believe children learn best when engaged in 'hands on' activities! And to ensure that your child is safe, each volunteer has been screened and trained! They have also given permission for all necessary background checks. These Godly men and women will help your child have a blast and learn Godly principles.
JUMP!
Our theme this year is JUMP! In this three day adventure, your child will learn that loving God means taking action! Kids will jump at the chance to love God by helping others in need and by learning to be good friends that stick up for one another! Kids will discover that they can make a difference in other people's lives no matter how old they are! All they have to do is... JUMP! Preschool children will be encouraged to bring canned goods that will be given to local charities to help those in need. Elementary children will be encouraged to bring back-packs filled with school supplies for inner city children in Pittsburgh. Besides lessons, live music and charitable work, children will participate in creatively themed crafts, snacks, and games - including a different inflatable from ELF Entertainment each day!
Lil' KidQuest in June will have a special performance by the HT High Flyers Jump Rope team from Ligonier on Friday afternoon! This team has 9 years of experience as a demonstration team for the American Heart Association and has competed in the Junior Olympics as well as both National and World Championship competitions. Lil' KidQuest families and friends are invited to bring their own picnic lunch on Friday, June 8 from noon - 1pm and watch the show following regular activities. This additional event is FREE for everyone!
KidQuest in August will have plenty of jumping in the park all week! Acrobats, a bicycle aerial team, jump ropers gymnasts, cheer teams, and more! There might even be a skydiver that will drop-in on us (permit pending) during the week! It will be one exciting day after another.

You can also download this registration form and mail it in along with your check made out to Discovery Christian Church (mailing address is on the registration form).
* Inclement Weather Notification*
KidQuest will continue to run each day even if it is raining. We have enough tents/shelters to continue with our activities. However, if there is lightning or thunder in the area, we will need to close. If camp is already in session when lightning or thunder occurs, we will gather all the children under the shelter. The shelter is a secure, safe place to gather the children. We would encourage you to come pick up your child with your check-out card at that point if you see lightning or hear thunder in the area.
